Have You Ever Served?

The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) came to the call by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden to improve the health and wellness of military veterans.

While communications and public affairs manager at the AAN, I led an effort to design and promote a public awareness campaign called "Have You Ever Served?" Military veterans have exposure that may contribute to uncommon illnesses.

This campaign was to encourage veterans to tell healthcare providers that they served and for healthcare providers to ask if a person has served and more about their potential exposures.

Assets

I created several print and digital assets for this campaign including a companion website and a medical pocket guide. I also worked with a vendor to send materials to healthcare providers throughout the country. I worked with local and state VA departments to create custom assets.
